My First Ever Asthma Attack

The year 2011 was very centered focused on my health. in an early part of this yar I was diagnosed having Gallstones in which, it eventually led to my Gallblader operation last June 14 - 20, 2011 at the Calamba Medical Center in Calamba City, Laguna.. After a month, I was able to come back to work but on this last week of August, I incurred a Flu due to the unpredictable weather condition in which Im very vulnerable. This led to the deterioration of my natural strenght. At around 5am of August 24, 2011.... I had a fatal asthma attack which made my whole house panicked.. specially my wife.. I coughed so hard and was having difficulty breathing while I felt that my heart was slowly fading away... Then the most unexpected feeling happened... I Blocked Out.. Then at a few seconds I returned and gained my consciousness once more.. In what I thought that it was just a few seconds, according to my wife, I was out for almost five(5) mins.  my wife said that I was already frozen stiff and my skin turned black already.... The weirdest feeling after I regained my consciousness was as if I went on a very long journey and I was so thirsty and sooooo exhausted.... I thank God that I recovered... In the morning we went straight to the hospital to have my chest checked... I was escorted to the Emergency Room of Calamba Doctors Hospital, near Checkpoint, Calamba City... I was treated there and was given numerous anti asthma shots and antibiotics for the lungs.....

I was also forwarded to a Pulmonologist and I was advised to be confined as they will be running some test because we had a family history regarding this kind of ailment. To mention, my dad died of Asthma last Feb 20, 1999... I will still be asking the advice of my original doctor and seek his second opinion as he is also a Pulmonologist... if I want to be confined, it has to be in my doctor's hospital, which is in New Sinai MD Hospital or St. James Hospital, Sta Rosa, Laguna. As I'm writing this Blog, I'm still at my recovery stage.. But Im hoping and praying that I will be back to work once more.... I would like to thank my Bosses who are continuously in full support of my recovery from my condition.....
